<p style="text-align: justify;">Samtlige fly som ble levert til Norge var malt i standard mørk olivengrønn farge over det hele, med unntak av et svart antirefleks panel foran fremre kabinvindu.</p>
<h3>Kjenningsbokstaver</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Fra den 1. september 1972 ble kjenningsbokstavene sløyfet og erstattet av tre eller fire tall, vanligvis de siste sifre i flyets USAF serienummer. Tallene ble malt på den vertikale haleflaten i hvit farge. Fra 1973 ble flyenes undersider malt i en lys grå farge. På 80-tallet ble en del gitt midlertidig avvaskbar kamuflasje, med hvite flekker på skrog og på oversiden av vingene.</p>
<h3>Roundeller</h3>
<p>Luftforsvarets rondell var plassert på begge sider av skroget under hele perioden i Norge. Plassering av rondeller på vingene varierte derimot. Til å begynne med var det rondeller på begge sider av vingenes over- og undersider. Noe før 1971 ble antallet rondeller på vingene redusert til en på oversiden av venstre vinge og en på undersiden av høyre.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Birddog-merket</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">De syv flyene som ble mottatt fabrikknye, ankom med Birddog-merket på halefinnen og serienummer påmalt i hvitt eller sort under hundehodet. Denne merkingen ble etter hvert borte på de fleste av disse flyene. Noen maskiner fikk da serienummeret i sort nede på den vertikale haleflaten, og noen beholdt serienummeret i hvitt på selve vertikalflaten.</p>
<h3>Identifikasjonsnummer</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Da kjenningsbokstavene ble sløyfet i 1972, ble serienummeret også flyets identifikasjonsnummer som nevnt ovenfor. Det er ikke kjent at noen av flyene fikk påmalt noen form for personlig merking eller avdelingsmerking.</p>
